Mint is a large family of plants long used around the world for flavoring, fragrance and medicine, the most common of which are Spearmint and Peppermint. It is used in drinks and jellies, and in the Middle East is common on lamb dishes. Mint stems should be stored in the refrigerator in a small dish of water with a plastic bag over the leaves.
